China Cabinet from Hades

This pretty little thing was not always so pretty.  I bought it from a lady off of craigslist and was in pretty good shape except for some veneer spots that were coming off. Nothing that a little bondo couldn't fix.  I prepped the piece and put 2 coats of Maison Blanche Vintage Paint in Collette on it and let it dry over night.  They recommend waiting 24-48 hrs before you put the wax on, but in my opinion it has the same result if you let dry overnight.  I then shabbied it.  Yes shabbied is a word.  At least in our house:)  Here's where the trouble started. I waxed it using dark wax to get a deeper turquoise green color.  The problem was that after I got my coat of wax on it and let it sit for a little bit a hot car pulled in the garage right next to the cabinet.  This wax is definitely temperature sensitive, so when I buffed the piece later on that night the parts that were farthest away from where the car had been buffed out great and looked fabulous.  The left side of the cabinet on the other hand was very streaky and uneven.  At first I didn't know what to do, but then I remembered that my old boss and best friend, Jodi told me that you could put wax over it again to sort of reactivate the original wax.  I did that.  There was no hot car next to it this time and it came out great!  I should have priced it super high since there was extra work, but I really want it to move quickly so I can bring in other goodies.  It's only $299 at The Mustard Seed Antique Mall.
